Christmas Letter 2010

Dear People-I-have-not-me- yet,
My name is Angela Isabelle Beck. I have only been around for about three months now (since September 17) , but BOY do I have a lot to say. First of all, I am the youngest of about a gazillion kids! Okay, so really, I’m only number six, but it FEELS like there are a LOT more. Its’ okay though, because they all absolutely adore me and think I’m the cutest thing on earth! To quote my big brother Timmy (who’s 4 now) “I just can’t get mad at Angela. She’s just TOO cute!” (We’ll see if he still feels that way in a few years. Ha ha)

My Daddy was here when I was born, so I made sure to smile for him lots and lots during those nine days he was here with me. We had lots of fun, and I love to smile and play with my Doll that looks just like him, while he is at the “litter box” (wherever that is). I can’t wait to see him again when I’m about nine months old.

My Mom doesn’t like to put me down hardly ever. She constantly is smiling at me and giving me kisses. (I think she likes me). She seems pretty busy though. She teaches piano lessons (I help by making noises along with the music). She also goes to school on the computer, and she is in the primary presidency. She’s kind of a silly lady, but I think I’ll keep her.

My oldest Brother Adam is turning 12 and goes to a scary place, beyond the dark side of the moon, called “middle school”. He seems to be okay with that. He sometimes plays a funny looking gold colored thing, called a trumpet, and plays soccer, and is in plays, and student council, and even in the gifted program at his school. It makes me tired just thinking about it. . . . . .zzzzzzzz. . . . . .

Okay, I’m back. My next brother Isaac, is really funny. He is always making the rest of us laugh with jokes (though I don’t always get it). He also plays soccer, and is on student council, And in the gifted program, AND is in plays. He really likes to build things too, and is really good at creating things.

My sister Breanna Is REALLY good at taking care of me. She changes my diapers, and even laughs when I spit up all over her. In fact, she laughs at almost everything. She does all the stuff the boys do too (student council , gifted program, soccer, etc.) . She just won her class spelling bee too. She sings to me and plays the piano too. She loves dogs and has lots of doggy stuffed animals.

My sister Natalee is really fun to watch. She likes to dress up and wears dresses a lot, and twirls around for me. That makes me smile. She also likes to pick me up, when I’m supposed to be napping. Mom doesn’t always like that, but I don’t mind.

Then there’s my big brother Timmy. He is the funniest. He makes our whole family laugh. He goes to pre-school , and I miss him when he is gone, but then he comes home, and always gives me a kiss first, before going off to play. He sounds and acts like a boy. He growls, and wrestles, and builds things so he can wreck them seconds later. He also climbs a LOT. But the other kids do too. My mom says we’re part monkey, but I don’t think my Dad looks like a monkey, so I’m not sure how that whole thing works.

I’m a US citizen, but have not been on U.S. soil yet (except for our army post). I think it’s kind of cool being born in Germany, and really liked my trip to Austria. My family likes to travel around Europe and see stuff a lot. I think I do pretty well with their crazy travels too.

Well, I think it’s time for another nap. Don’t judge me, I’m still a tiny baby.  But I’m happy to be here, and can’t wait to meet all of you in person. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! And please keep my soldier Daddy, and all his soldier friends in your prayers.

Love,
Angela
